The textile dyeing industries utilize large quantities of water and let out effluents causing serious environmental problems. An eco-friendly and cost effective bioprocess called "Biotreat system" which is a single system with many solutions has been developed. The single Biotreat system is able to degrade dyes / colours, salts heavy metals and other organic substances available in textile effluent. This system is being tested using real time textile dyeing effluents at various scales of operation for its deployment.
